By the Cathedral…
The Piazza Cafe is at the bottom of the main Metropolitan Cathedral steps – at the junction of Mount Pleasant and Hope Street.
There is seating for 120, inside and outside on the cathedral Piazza.
Parking is available in the Cathedral’s own car park subject to availability.
This award-winning cafe is part of the Metropolitan Cathedral campus. It serves fresh, well-cooked, artisan food and drink, including some excellent sausage rolls and quiches, tasty salads and a mouthwatering array of cakes.
The room is bright and cheerful. Self-service only.
“Chocolate cake was amazing!”
Visited last Saturday with hubby after visiting the Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral. This is an excellent well set out and comfortable facility incorporating a lovely cafe serving light meals, drinks and snacks.
I particularly enjoyed their amazing chocolate cake! There is also an information area, Cathedral Shop and toilet facilities.
Would definitely visit again.
Having visited the beautiful Cathedral, we decided to have breakfast in the appealing cafe at the foot of the Cathedral steps. Lovely and clean with a delightful shop attached.
We were served by very friendly staff and can recommend the delicious bacon barmcakes served with good quality coffee. Having spent the afternoon in the Walker Art Gallery we returned for paninis and jacket potatoes.
Lovely and clean and very reasonable.
“Nice food, fast service, good value”
It was a busy lunchtime when we visited but the queue moved quickly. There was a good mix of meals, snacks and sandwiches and an interesting serve-yourself salad bar.
One friend had the Scouse and reported it to be very good – came with a big chunk of wholesome bread. I need gluten free and there’s a good choice. I had a delicious moist gluten free chocolate brownie. Nicest brownie I’ve ever had! The coffee was very good as well.
